5 ply / Sport Weight Yarn

Posted on

I have some un-dyed 5 ply (Sport Weight) yarn, which I’ve meant to dye up for some time.  Well, I’m glad to say the time has now arrived :)

It is a mix of 60% BFL, 20% Silk, 20% Nylon which makes it not only strong and hardwearing but lusciously soft as well.  Definitely one of my favourites when it comes to making warm and luxurious accessories either for myself or for loved ones that deserve to be spoilt.

I have only had the time to dye up 3 skeins so far and I chose to do it in my colour way SoS (Skein of Steel, a variegated grey) as I think that colour works for all types of accessories and is very unisex.

I imagine even the most ‘difficult’ man would wear a hat or scarf in this colour. LOL.

I’m undecided as to what other colours to dye it in but I think I’m leaning towards semi-solids and neutrals... what do you guys think?

Happy Knitting
